Leadership Greater Chicago (LGC) is proud to present an intimate conversation and book signing with Valerie Jarrett, author of Finding My Voice: My Journey to the West Wing and the Path Forward on Thursday, April 18th, starting at 7:30 AM. This will be one of only a few Chicago stops on Ms. Jarrett's national book tour, and it is not too be missed! Note: this is a ticketed event. Ticket information follows!
In Finding My Voice, Valerie Jarrett, beloved LGC Fellow since 1986 and longest-serving senior advisor in the Obama White House, shares her journey as a daughter, mother, lawyer, business leader, public servant, and leader in government at an historic moment in American history. “The ultimate Obama insider” (New York Times), Jarrett was born in Iran and raised in 1960s Chicago. She originally practiced corporate law and left to enter local politics, where in 1991 she interviewed an up-and-coming lawyer named Michelle Robinson (LGC Fellow since 1993). The rest is history, as told in this memoir of Jarrett’s rise to become one of the most consequential women in the United States.
There are ONLY 40 seats left, so reserve your spot today! Tickets are $75 each and include a plated breakfast and a copy of Ms. Jarrett’s book.
The event begins with a networking reception at 7:30 a.m., followed by breakfast service at 7:50 a.m., author conversation at 8:00 a.m., and audience Q&A at 9:00 a.m. Additional books will be available from The Book Stall for purchase, and book signing will occur after the program.
